Hans Road
London SW3
Taking advantage of a client’s office being vacant during the second lock down, we undertook a refurbishment of the cloakrooms, kitchenettes and the reception area over two adjoining office buildings on Hans Road SW3.
The building, originally designed by CFA Voysey, is Grade II listed. Johnathan Tucky Design Architect faced the challenge of modernising these small spaces to suit the needs and aesthetics of a modern office, whilst remaining true to the original language of the building. The use of traditional wood panelling on the walls paired with a contemporary colour pallet gives a fresh take and with a nod to Voysey’s original wallpapers.
Despite the offices being empty, the supply chain issues and availability of materials presented their own challenges, but the results speak for themselves.
Hans Road
London SW3
At the head office of a long-standing client we have carried out three major projects to 12, 14 and 16 Hans Road over a three and a half year period.
The building, originally designed by CFA Voysey, is Grade II listed. Tuckey Design Studio faced the challenge of modernising the existing buildings to suit the needs and aesthetics of a modern office, whilst remaining true to the original language of the building. The use of traditional wood panelling on the walls, paired with a contemporary colour pallet, gives a fresh take and with a nod to Voysey’s original wallpapers.
Each phase faced its own challenges whether working through Covid, the resultant supply chain issues and social distancing or accommodating listed buildings and occupied offices. Overcoming these we have successfully completed the refurbishment of the bathrooms, kitchenettes and reception in 14 and 16 Hans Road, the full refurbishment of 12 Hans Road over seven floors and finally the basement refurbishment running under 12, 14 and 16 Hans Road.
